We believe in self-sufficiency and use any leftover materials as fuel for our onsite boiler, generating our heat. Therefore, we use innovative measures to ensure we are always environmentally friendly.

How We Reduce Our Carbon Footprint

Transport emissions of materials bring with them a shockingly high carbon footprint risk. In fact, product transport is responsible for roughly one-fifth of global carbon dioxide emissions, with much research to indicate that this statistic will continue to rise. Transportation of materials are often overlooked when looking at the factors contributing to global warming.

We understand the importance of lowering our transport emissions of our roof lanterns. At Aliwood, we source materials from local suppliers and Europe, rather than America and further afield. This lowers our carbon footprints and enhances material efficacy. We give back to nature at every chance we get.

How Roof Lanterns Are More Eco-Friendly Than Extensions

In comparison to extensions, roof lanterns are considerably cheaper to have. This factor has a positive effect on the environment, because less materials are being used. Our sustainability ethos doesn’t just stop with our material and transport. Our lanterns can save you money on your bills in the long run. Natural light can beam in form above, offering more light, and less electricity will be needed to brighten your home. The light we get from the sun and sky, is of a different calibre compared to light we get from lamps and other electrical products.
