Who are Aliwood?

Our parent company, Westbury, have been designing and manufacturing roof lanterns for three decades and we have taken all of that knowledge and expertise to craft a new, modern roof lantern. Glass

The glass we use in our bespoke roof lanterns is carefully selected to ensure that the heat isn’t getting trapped in your home. Not only does our glass have a Sun Guard solar reflective coating that reduces solar glare and helps to prevent heat build-up during the summer months, but it also has a soft Low-E coating. Low-E glass offers the highest form of solar control performance. The application of a soft coating rather than a hard one is perfect for the long, hot summer months and keeping the temperature in your house on the cooler side.

Light

The materials we use offer regulated temperatures without hindering the amount of light streaming in through our bespoke roof lanterns. Our products aim to open your space and let as much natural light in as possible and we can do this whilst providing the best protection from the sun. A roof lantern can completely transform a room allowing the light to flow seamlessly throughout an open space. Studies have also shown that an increase of light in any room can heighten productivity and improve your mood.

Ventilation

Aliwood’s bespoke roof lanterns can be in installed with an optional double or single vent for an extra cost. These vents are the best way to ensure warmer rooms cool down during the Summer months of the year. Vents draw the warm air up and out of the room, expelling the heat and making the overall temperature cooler. Installation of ventilation is particularly useful in rooms that receive a lot of direct sunlight or in rooms that are naturally steamier, such as a kitchen or a bathroom. Our ventilation systems are managed electronically with the touch of a button and will automatically open when it gets too warm.
