Our roof lantern costs start from £1,250, increasing in line with the size, shape and specification of the lantern you require.

Square Roof Lanterns

Square roof lanterns are well-suited to square rooms and more compact spaces. They are typically the most affordable option in our range, with prices starting from £1,250 for a smaller format. Larger square lanterns are priced accordingly based on the specific dimensions required.

Rectangular Roof Lanterns

Rectangular roof lanterns are the most commonly utilised in open-plan extensions and kitchen-dining spaces. Prices vary depending on the required length and width. Vents are also available as an optional addition to the rectangular lantern at extra cost.

Octagonal Roof Lanterns

Octagonal roof lanterns are suited to spaces where a more distinctive architectural form is appropriate. Pricing for octagonal lanterns depends on the required specifications and size.

Glazing and Its Effect on Cost

The glazing specification of a roof lantern affects both the performance and the price of the roof lantern. We offer three glazing options:

Standard glazing is included as the baseline specification for all our roof lanterns. This is a 4/16/4mm toughened unit with a Low-E coating, argon gas fill and warm-edge spacer bar.

Security glazing is an upgrade to a 4/14/6.4mm laminated unit, which reduces UV transmission and provides additional sound insulation. This glazing also protects your furniture, curtains and floors from colour fading from harmful UV rays.

Solar control glazing features a Sun Guard solar-reflective coating that reduces heat buildup in warmer months and retains heat during winter. This is highly recommended for south-facing installations and larger roof lanterns. Either of these upgrades are available at an additional cost.

Roof Lantern Installation Cost

We offer roof lanterns on a supply-only basis or with installation, depending on your needs and the status of your project. For supply-only customers, the lantern is delivered in component parts with full fitting instructions and a useful installation video.

For those who require installation, this is available from £800, depending on location. Both options and their associated costs are included with your quotation, which our team can supply during the consultation.

What Affects the Overall Cost of a Roof Lantern?

The main factors that influence roof lantern cost are size, shape, glazing specification, ventilation and finish. Larger lanterns cost more than smaller ones, as there will be more materials supplied and further installation adjustments required. 

Upgraded glazing and opening single or double vents are available as optional extras at additional cost. Alternative RAL colour finishes are also available at additional cost beyond the standard six internal and two external colour options.
