Why A Custom Roof Lantern Is the Perfect Accessory for Your Home

It’s that time of year when we start thinking about refreshing our homes. A new year often calls for a change of scenery.

There are many benefits to investing in a custom roof lantern, especially now we’re spending more time at home. Here at Aliwood we wanted to discuss why our roof lights are the perfect accessory to give your home that little something extra this year.

A Brighter Outlook

One of the greatest features of a roof lantern is how they allow an abundance of natural lights to cascade into a room, without compromising your privacy. In the winter months, we tend to spend more time at home anyway, but as we enter another lockdown period the time in which we spend at home is set to increase.

It’s important that the home is somewhere we can appreciate and is personal to us. Somewhere we feel safe, warm and free. Having a bright and fresh room to walk into, filled with natural light can only create an atmosphere of clarity and contentment.

Every season has its time to shine and these moments can be truly appreciated through a custom roof lantern. Although the evenings are darker during the winter, the mornings and afternoons are often crisp, clear and fresh. Beginning the day with an unfiltered view of nature’s beauty will positively start you off, how you mean to go on.

Custom Made to Fit Around You

Roof lanterns are usually fitted to a flat roof with glazed elevated panels in the middle to create a pitched roof shape. If you have recently had a flat roof extension, they are a great way to improve its appearance and give your home the wow factor.

One of the benefits of a custom roof lantern is that it can be tailored to suit your needs. At Aliwood, we offer a bespoke service and can advise you on what product and finishes to go for, keeping your vision in mind at all times.

Additionally, our roof lanterns are energy efficient, so will help to keep those heating bills down as the winter gets colder!

A Beautiful Space

A custom roof lantern will set your home apart from the rest. With a range of sizes available, there’s one suitable for all homes. Alongside filling your room with daylight, roof lanterns can create a beautiful centrepiece and focal point to any space in a variety of settings.

When we’re spending more time in the house, whether that’s because we’re working remotely or choosing to cosy up on a winter’s evening, now more than ever, it’s important that we feel comfortable and at home. A roof lantern also opens up the perfect opportunity to freshen up the decor and treat yourself to some seasonally appropriate accessories!
